Inspired by the stylings of Nick Drake, whom I must have been listening to or discovered around the time. I liked the idea of writing short, simple little songs with nowhere to hide. The song never really had a title, but it was the seventh song on a cassette of tunes that I gave to my young niece at the time and she always called it number 7. I re-recorded it on my debut album in 2004 and titled it with the (-) symbol in CD format, but it had to be called (untitled) to be listed on the streaming services.

This previously unreleased recording is from a session on the 26th of July 2000 at Cavalier Studios, somewhere on the outskirts of Melbourne.  Recorded and mixed by my mate Simon Banko.
