From the same August 1991 session.
6 String was the first song I ever wrote.  I’m guessing I was about 15 or 16, and not long after  starting to learn the guitar.  One of the lyrics mentions ‘standing at the crossroads’, so I’d already discovered the music of the great blues legend, Robert Johnson, and his contemporaries.  I think the song sums up the dreams and aspirations of an adolescent teenager wanting to be a blues singer/guitar player…at the very start of their musical journey.  
There was a set of Bongo drums hanging on the wall in the studio, so I played them on the track.  It was the first and last time I played Bongos!
